Ed Poole's 800 acre hunting preserve is now open and will operate from October 15 thru March 15 yearly. Released Quail, Chukar and Pheasant are available for hunting on CRP land. Hunters can bring their own dogs or use Ed Poole's dogs. Half and full day hunts with guide and dogs are available. The half day hunt includes 15 Quail or 5 Chukar or 5 Pheasant. The full day hunt is for 30 Quail or 10 Chukar or 10 Pheasant. The hunts are for 1 to 4 hunters. In addition to day hunts on our preserve we have corporate and business memberships available. The business membership includes 25 Chukars or Pheasant total with 1 to 4 hunters at a time. The corporate membership is for 50 chuckars or Pheasant total with 1 to 4 hunters at a time. Ed Poole continues to offer a variety of wild game hunting opportunities on approximately 5000 acres of West Texas land. The wild game opportunities include dove, quail, pheasant, sandhill crane and duck. Hunters are welcome to bring their own dogs or can take advantage of Ed's own dogs. A valid Texas hunting license is required of all hunters for both preserve or wild bird hunting. The Pooles offer a bed & breakfast opportunity for those visiting with them that need to stay overnight. Please phone ahead for availability.
